Continuing the tradition of taking care of those who take care of others.

The Glendale Firefighters Cancer & Mental Health Foundation was created to address two of the most significant long term health challenges facing the fire service: occupational cancer and mental health.
Firefighters spend their careers serving their communities while routinely encountering occupational exposures, traumatic events, and cumulative stresses that can affect their health long after an emergency ends.
The Foundation was established to build additional support around cancer prevention, early detection, mental health, education, and firefighter wellness.
A major focus of the organization is ensuring retired firefighters are not forgotten. Retirement should not mean losing access to resources designed to address conditions that may have developed because of decades spent serving the community.
A future where every retired Glendale firefighter has access to the information, screening, support, and resources necessary to address occupational cancer and mental health challenges as early as possible.
Continuing the tradition of taking care of those who take care of others.
Prioritizing education, screening, early detection, and proactive health programs.
Making sure firefighters and their families know they do not have to navigate difficult circumstances alone.
Continuing to protect Glendale firefighters long after their final shift.
